Mental Health Promotion Program
A mental health promotion and counseling program has been implemented by the officers attached to the Divisional Secretariats in Badulla District.
This program, named as Subodhya, is being implemented by the Ministry of Primary Industries and Social Empowerment and it is being implemented in nine Divisional Secretariats in the Badulla District with no counselors.
The main objective of this program is to provide a good service to the public by minimizing the stress of the public officers in carrying out their duties and providing them with the necessary background to perform their duties in a good mental condition.They are also educated to maintain the health of public officers in good health and to provide them with advice on how to enjoy their day to day activities and to avoid problems and conflicts in personal life.
A program organized under this program was held at the Welimada Divisional Secretariat Auditorium on the 1st august. The program was organized with the guidance of Welimada Divisional Secretary ChamindaWeerasinghe. A number of practical activities were also carried out for the participants.
Mrs. M. Dewasundari, Administrative Officer of the Welimada Divisional Secretariat, GramaNiladhari, Samurdhi Development Officers, Economic Development Officers and other field officers and Divisional Secretariat Officers attached to the Welimada Divisional Secretariat were also present at the occasion
